Short Game skill at Cresthaven Golf course

All of these videos were shot on the same day during a Round at Cresthaven Golf Club in Markham Ontario. I wasn’t hitting my Irons particularly well so in order to make Pars I had to rely on my Short Game. Cresthaven Golf Club is an executive 18 hole Par 3s only course. The holes Range in length from about 100 yards to 210 yards long. Depending on how far you hit each club it’s possible to use every club in your bag on a windy day. The winds were gusting this day so it was quite a challenge. Luckily for me I have total confidence in my Short Game. In this instance I came up just short of the Green. Even though my ball was in the thick rough I decided to putt it. In most cases I would choose to chip here but the Greens were damp, pitted, and running extremely slow. Putting through the little bit of rough and fringe wasn’t going to require much more force than putting the same distance on the Green would have required. In this instance Putter was the smarter play. If the Greens were running fast then Putting would have been very difficult because the force required to get through the rough would have increased the speed of the putt on the Green and caused it to roll way past the hole.

With a little bit of time spent at the Chipping and Putting practice area, anyone can feel as confident in their Short Game.
