Just go watch The Last Dance, and tell me what you think of Michael Jordan. He took everything personally! He even made up a story about an NBA player trash-talking him after the game only to embarrass him the next time they meet-up. What’s so crazy about that story is that he admitted it years after.
Today, we will talk about NBA players and legends discussing the greatness of Michael Jordan. We’re going to ride that time machine, and tell stories about him and how he elevated the NBA on a global scale.

1. LeBron James
Good thing LeBron realized that you can’t change the opinion of everybody. Both are legends in the game. LeBron idolized Michael Jordan. It’s the reason why he wears No. 23, you can debate all you want, but Jordan Paved the way for LeBron.

2. Scottie Pippen
Pippen is a regular on ESPN’s The Jump, and the topic was who he would pick on a 5v5 game right now? Is it LeBron or Michael Jordan? Isaiah Thomas picked LeBron — If you know all the beef between the 90’s Pistons and the 90’s Bulls, you’re not surprised why he picked LeBron over MJ. So, Scottie weighed in on Zeke’s statement.
“I don’t agree with anything he says. I find that comment just hating. I’ve never seen this guy embrace or thank Michael Jordan for what he has done for the game, for our league, what he has done for all the kids in terms of basketball. MJ is the greatest player ever to put on shoes, and play in our game, no doubt about it. I’m always asked to compare him with LeBron. The comparison shouldn’t ever be made. There’s no game that I will ever play in, and pick LeBron over MJ.”
This statement of Scottie is a little bit biased given that he played almost all of his seasons with jordan.
3. Magic Johnson
Magic Johnson made an appearance on the talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, and he was asked by the host about his personal experience with Michael Jordan about trash talking.
“I never talked trash but one time with Jordan. Were with the 92 dream team, for three days in a row of playing his team and mine, we were tied. On the 4th day, we were up by 12 to 2 and I started talking trash to Mike. I said to him, “Hey man if you don’t turn into Air Jordan we’re going to blow you out today.”
It’s a good thing Magic learned right away to never talk trash to Michael Jordan. Would be great though if there was an actual video about that dunk.
4. Reggie Miller
Miller also made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live a year before. He shared about a learning experience he had talking trash to Mike in his rookie season.
“My rookie year, we were playing the Chicago Bulls, and this was Mike’s 3rd or 4th season in the league. We were playing an exhibition game.
C’mon Reggie you were still a rookie back then. What were you thinking? But the Pacers and Bulls had great battles in the ’90s though.
5. Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi was still with the Raptors when he commented on Michael Jordan.
“I’ve never been one of those guys that thought about my Legacy. I don’t think my legacy would reach Michael Jordan’s, he’s the greatest of all-time.
6. Labradford Smith
Smith was asked on a podcast All-Ball Chicago about that made-up story by Michael Jordan. Here’s what he had to say:
It is what it is. At least your name will always be remembered as the guy who Jordan made-up a story for just to get motivated.
I feel like as the years go by we won’t forget how great Michael jordan was. Especially with the show The Last Dance, and social media today. Michael Jordan paved the way for superstars to receive premium contracts, and he made the NBA global just by playing in the 1st Dream Team back in 1992. We must not forget how influential Jordan is, that’s why he’s the GOAT
