Manchester City’s debut season in the Champions League didn’t go according to plan as they crashed out in the group stage and it was mostly remembered for Carlos Tevez refusing to play against Bayern Munich. Finding themselves 2-0 at the Allianz Arena, Roberto Mancini tried to use Tevez as a second half sub but the Argentine didn’t want to come on. Mancini said Tevez would never play for City again but he returned after a 6 month exile and helped the club as they went on to win their first Premier League title.
