The SECRET hip slide! Are you moving forward enough in your downswing as you turn? You might have heard that “sliding” your hips in your downswing in bad, it might be time to rethink that.
Watch Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Mickey Wright, Tiger Woods and Ben Hogan move forward in their downswing as they also turn.
This video shows you how to properly turn your hips in your golf swing while also moving forward.
You might have heard, don’t slide your hips in your downswing or that a hip slide is bad. You now know it’s not if it’s done in concert with your hips turning. This could be the missing piece in your downswing helping to stop slicing and start drawing the golf ball. The more you turn your hips, the more you slice the golf ball. The more you slide your hips, the more you draw the golf ball. A straight shot is a blend of hip slide and hip turn.
