Here’s a countdown of the nine greatest skateboard ads of all time!

Skateboarding has progressed from Vert to Parks to the Streets, and could easily now be considered a global movement of skateboarding. Let’s take an inside look at the some of the biggest ad moments in skateboarding.

#9 Enjoi skateboarding: with a hilarious team of guys over the years like Cairo Foster, Ben Raemers, Jackson Pilz, Marc Johnson and more, Enjoi had some iconic ads with the pop colours and crazy graphics.

#8 Palace Skateboards:
Palace has done some iconic commercials with other iconic brands like Adidas, Ralph Lauren, and more. It’s also worth checking out other ad campaigns like when Jonah Hill was the spokesperson for Palace and Reebok’s new collaboration.

#7 Shorty’s Rosa:
Shorty’s had an iconic with Rosa, being featured in a bunch of ads and videos for the brand, even getting the cover of Big Brother back in the day.

#6 Vans Geoff Rowley
Growing up in Liverpool England, Geoff Rowley comes to California, and gets the cover of Transworld for the first time; the inspirational tale of grinding the Staples Center hubba for the first time. He set up the shot with Howard Sturt, but also hid a secret camera man in the bushes to capture the insanity. His iconic ad was his introduction to Vans shoes (when he left airwalk), and was shot by Howard Sturt while also filming for the Flip Sorry video.

#5 A Team Mission of Mercy
Rodney Mullen’s brand the A Team released the rad Mission of Mercy ad campaign, where readers were tasked with the mission of doing the same trick as the sequence in the ad. It’s crazy that this may have been part of the start of Chris Cole’s early beginnings back in the day.

#4 Plan B Five of these Skateboarders Ad

In it’s early days underneath Steve Rocco at World Industries, Plan B released this iconic ad. In the early days of street skateboarding, Plan B was also known for some iconic videos, and a legendary team. in 1992, Plan B releases Questionable, directed by Mike Ternasky, David Schlossbach, and Jacob Rosenberg.

At the time, they had an all-start line up featuring Sal Barbier, Mike Carroll, Pat Duffy, Ryan Fabry, Matt Hensley, Rick Howard, Colin Mckay, Rodney Mullen, Sean Sheffey and Danny Way.

Plan B has since seen a rebirth as a renewed brand, and in recent years was proud to introduce the 5th full length video, “TRUE” featuring Ryan Sheckler, Chris Joslin, Felipe Gustavo, Scott Decenzo, Trevor McClung, Pat Duffy, Torey Pudwill, and others.

#3 Nike “What if we treated all athletes the way we treated skateboarders commercial”
In the early 2000’s, Nike releases this iconic campaign featuring tennis players and joggers, as if they were treated like skateboarders. In more recent years, Nike SB has also released other iconic commercials such as “Today was a Good Day” with Paul Rodriguez and Eric Koston.

#2 Blind Dear George Ads
Steve Rocco uses this campaign as a shot back at big brands of the time, like Powell Peralta and Vision skateboards. This ad campaign boosted Blind’s sales and put them at the top.

Later on, Blind releases videos like Blind Video Days with Jason Lee, Mark Gonzalez and more.

#1 Powell Peralta Bones Brigade with Craig Stecyk
Featuring the iconic team of Tony Hawk, Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, and Rodney Mullen, Craig Stecyk designed a number of ads back in the 90’s which helped Stacy Peralta and George Powell set apart Powell Peralta in the 80’s.
