We’re back with another installment of the Protipster Football Podcast, we have our usual mix of UK and European football betting tips and we have our Spanish and Italian expert on the show too to talk about their home leagues.

We kick off the podcast by speaking about the fascinating Championship clash happening on Friday night where Derby County will be welcoming Bristol City to Pride Park. For Bristol it looks like they’re falling away from the chasing pack for the Premier League playoff places while on the other hand, Derby have quietly been going about their business and thanks to their solid defence they’ve creeped up to second in the table.

Next up is Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace. A fixture that has produced some great games over the last few years and we hope it’ll be no different for 2018. Arsenal are the literal walking wounded, so many injuries and they’ve been relying on fringe players of late. Palace are a new team under former England manager Roy Hodgson but Arsenal are simply wonderful at home. They’ve only lost once this season, against Manchester United so the ProTipster boys have a look for some value in the betting markets.

We also have a wee natter about where Henrikh Mkhitaryan will fit into the Arsenal team and how will he fit in alongside Jack Wilshere who plays in Mkhitaryan’s favourite position.

Next up is Champions-elect Manchester City who are at home to Rafa Benetiz’s Newcastle United. Something that has stood out in recent weeks is that while City have been immense, that Liverpool defeat last weekend notwithstanding, but they have not been covering many of the Asian Handicap lines they’ve been up against. Indeed of the previous 10 home games, they would only have beaten the line here, -2.5 goals 3 times out of 10. Is that something we should be looking at here?

Next up in our Premier League Podcast we talk about 7th-placed Burnley who will be entertaining Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. Of course we speak about the imminent signing of Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez and where he’ll fit into the team. Burnley have no wins in their previous 6 games in all competitions while Manchester United have beaten the giants of football that are, Everton, Derby County and Stoke City.

Finally then we troll you a little bit by speaking about the relegation six-pointer happening in the Championship on Saturday where Sunderland are taking on Hull City. It’s pretty difficult to get excited by two bad teams playing against each other, but you have to ask do Sunderland deserve a double relegation and can Hull get their act together?

We have a chat with ProTipster Marco our Italian expert. We have a chat about the big games from this weekend; Atalanta Vs Napoli and Inter Vs Roma, we also have a chat about the different transfer rumours doing the rounds in Italy. We also talk a bit about what’s going wrong at AC Milan for Gennero Gattuso and all of the problems on his plate. Finally then we get ProTipster Marco’s Tip for the Weekend.

We turn our attention towards the continent then and we have a look at the top-of-the-table clash between second-placed Lyon and head honchos Paris St Germain in first. Lyon always put up a good fight against the auld enemy from the nation’s capital but with Neymar scoring goals for fun can they possibly get anything here against Unai Emery’s PSG?

Joining us then in studio is our Spanish ProTipster Expert, Protipster David and he tells us about what’s been going on this week in Spanish football with both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid suffering surprise defeats in the Coppa del Rey. We then look forward to what lies ahead for the weekend, Barcelona are away to Real Betis in Seville and Real Madrid will be praying to get their season back on track against Deportivo La Coruna. We also get his tip of the weekend from the Las Palmas game against Valencia.

So that’s it then folks, we hope you’re enjoying these football podcasts. Do us a favour and tell your football mad mates all about us. We’re all over the internet, check us out here:
