30-minute Calf Burner at the BARRE || warm-up/workout/stretch || WORKOUT like a DANCER

30-minute CALF BURNER! Think about how much movement your calves are involved in every single day. Strengthening these muscles has a major impact on your overall performance. I have performed 10 shows a week for the past 10+ years wearing some form of a high heel shoe/boot. My calves took a beating. I have experienced first-hand the repercussions of neglecting these muscles. Proper care and maintenance are crucial. Join me for a fun and effective CALF focused workout!

– great for all levels
– floor space & support needed
– resistance band OR sport towel/scarf
– lacrosse ball, tennis ball OR golf ball/massage ball
– stand-alone workout, or add it into your routine
– warm-up & final stretch included

Tips & Tricks:
– keep proper form throughout each position. Take a rest if you start to compromise form for movement
– keep the movements small and controlled. Eliminate any momentum or strenuous effort
– be mindful of your breath, use it to help guide you through this workout

* A special note about the guest appearance of my furbabies, Lana & Zena. Both of them are rescues that endured a traumatic start to life. Battling multiple illnesses and fighting through life-threatening diseases, they are my true warriors. Don’t be alarmed by Zena’s bopping. She is a survivor of Distemper which left her with permanent muscle damage to her nervous system. I like to believe she is constantly “dancing!” They are both happy and healthy dogs living a life filled with playtime, cuddles, and outdoor adventures! I am a proud DOG MOM #rescuedisthebreedinneed 🐾
