It’s lockdown, but the improvement mustn’t stop! I wanted to work on my short game and feel as much as possible whilst we are stuck at home, so set up a little chipping practice in the back garden area.
My target? A reusable shopping tote bag. Nothing fancy but just what I need to try and dial in my distance control.

⛳️ LEARNING GOAL = Improve chipping control
I watched a few videos, but on of my favourites is the chipping guide by Phil Mickleson. When playing my first round of golf I had some good bump and run shots but had a couple of fails from not being able to control my chipping distance. This, I knew, would be a key fundamental to improving my game.

⛳️ LEARNING RESULTS
The control is getting there, and I managed to land some good shots right on target. I am still learning how to effectively get the ball to have a higher flight and stop sooner, but so far I am happy with how my chipping is progressing.
