One of the most common things we hear on the golf course is that our golf backswing is too long, or that our swing needs to be shortened. Unfortunately, depending on your type of golf swing, that may not necessarily be the truth.
If you have more of a Jon Rahm swing that is laid off, you might want to shorten your golf backswing. Likewise, if you have more of a Fred Couples golf swing that comes across the line in the backswing, you will probably want a longer swing to be able to get that downswing in the slot.
Sanford POWER Golf Academy’s Lead Instructor Sam Vosler shows us that if you have a laid off golf swing or a swing that is more across the line, that will determine the real length of your golf backswing.
