I finally managed to fit and fly with my new Helix 3 blade propeller and also fly on New Year’s Day.
The Helix 3 blade propeller had a slightly louder sound but not an unpleasant note. I look forward to getting more flight time on it and comparing it to the other propellers.
It was a very cold day, I managed to rectify the incorrect torque setting on the carburetor and get the carb setting close, but it still needs a refined adjustment. Getting a Walbro carb to run sweetly is a black art and I’m getting better at it, I just need more flights to tune it, but with all the lock downs it’s been really hard.
