There seem to have been a wave of recent social media posts suggesting that it is risky or somehow inadvisable to sign players for Bundesliga clubs, in light of Luka Jovic’s transfer to Real Madrid, Joelinton joining Newcastle United, and both Kai Havertz and Timo Werner’s expensive moves to Chelsea, among others.
The suggestion seems to be that Bundesliga players either represent poorer value for money or aren’t as talented as players signed from Europe’s other top leagues, namely; the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Ligue 1.
