Great golf swings start with stable footwork. And many golfers tend not to stabilize their back foot and ankle at the top of their back swing. This leads to countless other swing faults.
Within this video golf lesson is a simple drill to help you feel what a stable back foot and ankle should feel like at the top of your swing. Using a wedge from your bag, a golf ball, or another prop, place it under the middle of the outside of your foot. You’ll be surprised the feeling you experience when you do. And don’t be afraid to make some swings with this drill. As you do, you’ll learn what a truly stable back swing feels like.
