A-R-R Golf Posture Lat Mobility

A-R-R Golf Posture Lat Mobility

Level 4 – Our 4th and final exercise in the Lat mobility series is a three part exercise. We will complete the same exercise Assisted (A), Regular (R) and Resisted (R). We start with Assisted Overhead Lat Mobility. Attach a band to a rack or wall behind you and above your head. Begin by finding a neutral pelvis. We want to arch, flatten and then find the middle/neutral position of a pelvic tilt. This also can be seen as a flat back. Maintaining posture throughout this exercise is key. Allow the band to assist you by pulling your arm overhead and behind your body. Pull the band back to the front of your body and repeat. Next, we will continue the same exercise without the band (Regular). Finally, we will perform the exercise resisted. Move the anchor point of the band to the ground and face in that direction. Pull away from the anchor point as far as you can while maintaining posture and return to the starting position. Give this a try to increase your shoulder flexion at the top of your backswing.

Start with 8 reps on each arm in each position. @mytpi @18strong_
