Ellie Slama is not only a friend of mine, she is one of the BEST women’s amateur golfers in the United States! She finished T-9th at this year’s U.S. Women’s Amateur championship. She also played in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur where the top 72 women’s amateur golfers in the world are invited! Well, Ellie was in town for the holidays, and we decided to play an 18-hole match-play. This video is PART ONE of a 3-part series of this match. We took a poll on Instagram, and my followers voted that Ellie should not give me any strokes, despite me being an 8-handicap and Ellie being one of the top amateur golfers in the US. In each part of this 3-part series, we will also take a break from the golf action to talk with Ellie about some of her incredible golf experiences.

Welcome to my YouTube Channel Golf Blog! My name is Matt Williams. I’m an amateur golfer that has only been playing golf consistently for a few years now. Last year I was about an 18 handicap. I was a 16 handicap to start 2020, and now am down to an 8.7. I started this golf channel for a variety of reasons. 1.)
