John Hughes Golf – Release Your Golf Club with the "Feet Together" Drill

You’ve been told that you “flip” the club, or you “hold on too long” to the club. But no one has provided you a remedy to release the club properly.

The “Feet Together” Release Drill is simple, easy to execute, and provides immediate feedback to what a proper “release” of the golf club should feel like. Put the ball in the middle of your stance, keep your feet together within 3 inches of each other, make your back swing, and make your down swing. That’s how easy it is. As you make your downswing, don’t be surprised if your trail foot and knee want to “release” towards the target with the club. Doing so will ultimately provide you the confidence you’ll need to release every shot properly.
