The golf course overview
Hoiana Shores Golf Club is a tourism complex comprising a world-class championship golf course, top-tier facilities and high-quality services. The whole area lies by the sea, overlooking the entire ocean and the beautiful Cham Islands. It is 8 km to the south of Hoi An Ancient Town so visitors can easily travel between the places to enjoy both the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best golf courses in Vietnam.
Hoiana Shores’s design
Hoiana Shores Golf Club offers a link-style course with a scenery of the coastal sand dunes on open land. The golf course has an area of 1000 ha and a length of 7004 yards. The sea only adds the aesthetic feeling to the already beautiful course. This Hoi An golf course is designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr., so it is very environment-friendly. All the elements on the terrain such as the sand dunes, sand pines and the Casuarina trees scattered were preserved and utilized to create a unique golf course. Such design consideration aims to make the course landscape both beautiful and unspoiled. The greens use TifEagle Bermudagrass, one of the best grass for sports ground. This grass ensures the best course conditions by improving playability, speed, consistency, maintaining color even under cool conditions, and almost no thatch buildup. Meanwhile, tees and fairways use the adaptive Zeon Zoysia which can withstand every condition, including the lack of sunray or hot and cold weather.

At Hoiana Shores Golf Club, elevations are scarce but efficiently exploited for difficulty or aesthetic purposes. Holes description
Hoiana has a total of 18 holes with holes 1 to 14 located far from the sea, holes 15, 16, and 17 are placed near the ocean; hole 18 is located back inland. Hole 15, 16, and 17 on the back nine will be challenges for golfers as the wind from the sea will obstruct every swing. There are some par 4 with split fairways or sided by large bunkers. Some par 5 with unexpected wind directions make the main obstacle for the course. Tropical climates will also add to the difficulty of green slopes. Besides, 6 different one-shotters also are must-try. Although the whole course is spectacular, some holes are more interesting than others. More specifically, hole 6 has a 50-yard wide green with 2 small, unmowed hills for countless pin placements. In addition, hole 16 will test even the most experienced golfers as it is located on the edge of the water. Therefore, each swing will require perfect calculation and force to conquer hole 16, and the feeling when you complete it will be indescribable.
