Football Friday Episode 10: Single Leg Volleys 🦵⚽️
Welcome back to Football Friday! This week we’re reviewing a few different single leg volley strategies to explore unilateral lower extremity stability and balance. 🧠 As soccer players, the majority of our world on and off the ball exists in a single leg environment: jogging, running, sprinting, cutting, dribbling, receiving the ball, shooting, etc. In the above videos we show you how you can incorporate some basic balance strategies with an agility ladder to build single limb coordination and stability necessary for the sport:
🔹Single Leg Hop to Volley
🔹Lateral SL hop to Volley (both directions)
🔹Two-touch Volley
🔹Icky Shuffle with Volleys
🔹Single Leg RDL to Hop to Volley
🔹Hop Scotch Switch to Volley
See you next week!
