We’ve got a jam-packed midweek episode of Guys & Bets as Joe Osborne, Andrew Avery, Iain MacMillan and Pamela Maldonado break down their favorite bets!
And what a time to love sports betting! Game 2 of the World Series goes tonight, Champions League is kicking back into gear, the BIG 10 is back and of course Thursday Night Football.
Joe leads off with a prop bet for Game 2 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays. After a convincing win in Game 1, the Dodgers will face Rays ace Blake Snell and Joe is betting on the total strikeouts Snell will have. After letting Glasnow throw a career high in pitches last night, Rays bench boss Kevin Cash could have a quick trigger tonight if there is any sign of trouble from Snell. We know Tampa Bay do things as they see fit with their pitching staff, so, with that and other things in mind, Joe likes this bet.

Thursday Night Football features the New York Giants in Philadelphia to face the Eagles. It’s football, so let’s bet it! There are questions surrounding Miles Sanders’ availability for the Eagles, which would be a loss for an offense that could use his ability to make plays. Meanwhile, New York found a way to beat Washington 20-19. These teams don’t exactly elicit fear in their opponent with the offenses they possess.

Champions League kicks up again, and Ninja is looking at a match in Group D with Atalanta taking on FC Midtjylland at MCH Arena. Atalanta come into this match as the more attractive team, and one of the more exciting teams to watch in Europe. The Atalanta squad will look to Alejandro Gomez to continue his hot streak as he’s scored four goals in his last four games. In a group that also features Liverpool and Ajax, it will be important for these squads to get off on the right foot.

For his second footy bet on the show, Ninja. is eyeing a matchup in Serie A. Sassuolo are fresh off an impressive 4-3 comeback win over Bologna this past Sunday, and will face Torino on Friday. Sassuolo stormed back from a 3-1 deficit scoring three goals in 13 minutes to get that previously mentioned 4-3 win. This squad has been on fire in Serie A action thus far scoring 13 goals in four games.

Iain also has a bet for Game 2 of the World Series, and he’s looking at the total. The Dodgers poured in four runs in the 5th inning en route to an 8-3 win in Game 1 as Clayton Kershaw was dealing for L.A. The lefty fanned eight batters in six innings and only threw 78 pitches. Today, Tampa Bay’s premier lefty takes the mound looking to do the same.

The PGA tour stop this week is the Zozo Championship at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. Tiger is back in the field, and so is Phil Mickelson as the two of them get ready for The Masters in just a few weeks. However, Iain is looking at a head-to-head matchup featuring the reigning PGA Champion, Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama. Morikawa is playing back home as he is a California kid, and he’s been playing excellent golf for most of the summer. This course features five Par 5s and Iain has an a great stat to back his pick on Par 5s.
College football is really amping up now with the return of the BIG 10 this weekend and Pam checks out the Minnesota-Michigan game. This Wolverines squad isn’t nearly as experienced as we’ve been accustomed to the last few seasons. Joe Milton is the presumptive starter at quarterback for Michigan, and his counterpart for the Golden Gophers, Tanner Morgan, gets one of his key weapons back in wide receiver Rashod Bateman. Michigan are a slight road favorite as we sit here today.
