These 3 exercises are commonly performed in women’s strength training or resistance exercise programs. Each exercise may pose a risk of pelvic floor overload to women with weak pelvic floor muscles or pre-existing pelvic prolapse.
The gym exercises demonstrated in this video include:
*Barbell Squats on squat rack along with modified pelvic floor friendly with Mini squat and dumbbell weights.
*Incline Leg Press modified by using the correct positioning, technique along with alternative single leg press and standing lunge exercises to choose.
*Deadlift using barbell modified with pelvic floor friendly technique and dumbbells.
The alternative exercises are shown using reduced weight along with techniques that can reduce the risk of pelvic floor overload. These exercises are suitable to do at home and require minimal equipment.
