Swan Point has been on my list of Public Courses to play in Maryland for quite a while and this year I finally made the drive to Southern Maryland and what I found surprised me…the Carolina in the Mid-Atlantic. Swan Point transports you to your favorite Carolina Coastal Marsh course a little over an hour south of DC. The course features lush marsh, dense pine woods, and amazing views throughout the course. The course is challenging yet not brutal, lakes, pond, and creeks are spread throughout the course and errant shots can easily find hazards but in general, you are presented with many scoring opportunities. The course staff is professional, friendly, and inviting. I highly recommend finding a sunny day and playing a truly unique Maryland gem in Swan Point.
