Course Management: Hole 7 – Par 4 – Split Fairways and Elevated Greens – Golf Instructions to Birdie

In this continuing series on how to play your way around any golf course, I am looking at Hole #7 at Belmont Country Club.

In this video I focus on elevated greens and a split fairway. When the green is out of sight as before on Hole 6, it is crucial to study the course layout first to get an idea of whether the current hole is playing straight, or in this case playing as a dog leg left. Also, will the ball be below and above our feet, will the hole play uphill, downhill or just a dog leg either left or right. To get on this Par 4 in 2, we need to be aware of the surrounding and find the best way to the hole to score birdie or better.

There are a few keys you must know in order to be able to play better golf, hit these blind shots with consistency and confidence. Doing your homework on the golf course is vital and the thing to do before you step onto any new golf course.
