Fore the Golfer: Afternoon Agronomics at the U.S. Open

USGA agronomists play a major role in course preparations at the U.S. Open, including arriving to the course at 3:00 a.m. each morning. But when play begins, the work isn’t over. Catch up with Adam Moeller as he trailed the leading group to monitor putting green conditions on Saturday during this year’s U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club.

The United States Golf Association (USGA) conducts many of golf’s most prestigious championships, highlighted by the U.S. Open, the U.S. Women’s Open and the world’s premier amateur championships. Based in Liberty Corner, N.J., the USGA governs the game in the U.S., its territories and Mexico.
