Sin salutation or surya namaska is a traditional yoga sequence originated from India.It is said that if one can do surya namaskar regularly he or she no need to do any other asana for get fit .It has a numerous benefits.If one can burn extra calories Sun salutation is the best way to do.To improving immunity one must have to do Surya namaskar.
In Hindu mythology, the Sun is denote as God, Surya, is worshipped as a symbol of health and immortal life. The Rig Veda declares that “Sun is the Soul, both for Human being other animals and as well trees.. Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation is a sequence of powerful yoga poses that originated in INDIA and it is a series of prostrations to the Sun. Traditionally, it is performed at dawn, facing the rising sun. But you can do it at anytime of the day in empty stomach.Each of the twelve positions celebrates an aspect of the sun’s divinity.
There are many variations of Surya Namaskaras each with its own belief and benefits.In this series of Surya namaskar today I am gonna show you Traditional or classic sun salutation.In next two videos I will show you some advance suryanamaskar.That is Surya namaskar B and Advance surya namaskar modified by me.

• Padahastasana (Standing forward bend)
• Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian pose)
• Santholanasana (Plank Pose)
• Ashtanga Namaskar Asana (Eight limbed salutation)
• Bhujangasana (Cobra pose)
• Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward dog pose)
• Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian pose)
• Padahastasana (Standing forward bend)
• Hastha Uthanasana
• Pranam Asana

Doing one round of Surya Namaskar burns approximately 13.90 calories. You can start by doing 5 sets of it initially and then increase it up to 108 with time
