KNG Golf in Killarney, MB
The guys out head to Killarney, MB to play 18 holes at the Killarney Lakeside Golf Course. This first segment and feature for our local golf tour to showcase some of the nicest courses in the prairies.
With two completely different 9s, the course features the front nine as and the inland side and the back nine plays along the lake.
The course was one of the more challenging ones we played all summer with some demanding tee shots – including the opening hole Par 3 playing over 200 yards.
Both the greens and the fairways were in close-to-perfect condition. The greens were on the fast side after the had their Club Championship the day before we played.
Highlights:
The train track hole – a mid length Par-5 where a set of railway tracks runs across the fairway.
The closing holes – the last 3-4 holes have a great view of the lake. The back side is a little windier but the views are definitely worth it.
The opening hole – nothing will wake you up more than a 200+ yard Par 3 to start the round. Although it’s probably one of the harder holes on the course, it’s a nice one to get out of the way early.
