On this day, I head out to a local lake in search of some pre-spawn fatties. This place is usually quite the puzzle, and each day I spend here is full of problem solving and learning curves. It’s always a great feeling to figure them out. I got up around 8 o’clock and got onto the water around 11:30. This is the time of year where I don’t mind getting out to the water a little later because I feel like the fish don’t really activate until the water warms up a bit. Started off the day with water temps in the low 50s and gradually watched them rise to the high 50s. This has all since been reversed by a major cold front that just came through the area. As of this past weekend, the fish had pulled out to deep water. As the water warms this week, the fish will be up and spawning. Time for you guys to get yourselves some spawning girls!
