Let’s start by answering “How do I know if I’m supinating correctly?”
Using the club as a checkpoint: At post impact, the butt of the club should be pointing toward ball line while the head of the club should be pointing away from the ball. Al Davies and Chris Ryan prefers the arms should move freely across your body and your left thumb should be pointing behind you.

Using the body as a guide: According to Chris Ryan, you can check if you’ve supinated enough by feeling connected between your lead bicep & lead side post impact. If the elbow is pointing down while the arm has folded naturally, you’ve supinated correctly.

Using the ball flight as a guide: Do not confuse supination with flipping of the hands. Remember that supination means the rotation of the forearm counter clock wise. If you flip your hands or supinate too much, it throws all your angles off, and increases the odds that your ball will go too far left, pulls or hooks to the left. Be sure to try to feel the difference and begin calibrating appropriately.
