I think this is a fairly unique experiment. I have been playing vintage clubs for 3 or 4 months now, and I’ve reached a level equal to what I was before. Now, I want to play modern irons, designed as game improvement clubs to a certain extent, and see if the added forgiveness and distance will help take my scores down even further.

Golf is a difficult game, but we make it tougher than it has to be most of the time. That said, there are a million reasons why we make the golf swing in to a monster that beats us up and steals our lunch money. In my efforts to improve my skills and scores, I explore all sorts of avenues in the world of golf. I try different swing methods, clubs, balls, strategies, etc.
I also conduct some product reviews, as well as collect vintage clubs. I have all but sworn off modern clubs and play vintage equipment almost exclusively. I share my collection with you as it grows and changes, and I’m even getting in to some club refurbishing. I’ll have to learn as I go and maybe you will learn a bit by watching me.
