Michael Jordan's Most Savage Moments Part XIII

Alright even though some of the Jordan buzz has died down in the last month now that The Last Dance is over, I know a lot of my subscribers remain Jordan enthusiasts. So, to show my appreciation, I am going to honor my word and am posting part 13 in the series since it is the first Monday of the month (07/06/2020). Expect the next Jordan video to be posted on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 9:00 AM.

This compilation starts with the older footage (1985) when Jordan broke the backboard on a dunk during an exhibition game in Italy. Jordan had just won the Rookie of the Year Award and was enjoying his surge in popularity and rise to stardom. MJ put on an orange-and-black Stefanel Trieste jersey and scored 30 points against Juve Caserta in the exhibition run. In the process of his impressive performance, Michael broke the glass backboard on a dunk in transition during what should of been an iconic moment in his career but has actually been a moment that many either have forgotten about or didn’t know existed in the first place.

During this same time period you can see MJ speaking to David Lettermen on the Tonight Show about his endorsement deals which sometimes sparked controversy around Jordan. One of these times is also included in this video when Michael covered up the Reebok logo on his Team USA warm up gear with a United States Flag during the Olympic Award Ceremony because he was signed to Nike. For those of you that have seen The Last Dance, you can actually see the footage of Jordan’s diabolical plan before it takes place while he is riding in the car and says something along the lines of “I got something for them,” when referring to Reebok. I would include the footage but I don’t need anymore YouTube strikes marked on my account (my first and only one I have ever received was when I included a 10 second clip from the Last Dance and an NBA executive reported me SMH!).

2 other parts of the video feature iconic advertisements Jordan was in. One for Gatorade (My personal favorite) where the “current” Jordan battles a much younger Jordan and they trash talk back and forth. The other one was Nike’s Ad response after the NBA banned the Air Jordan 1 from being worn during their games. So yes, in my eyes, a pretty savage response by both MJ and the people responsible for this ad campaign with Nike.

Lastly, who doesn’t know about the infamous practice scuffle between MJ and Steve Kerr. I found a version of the story that I thought was pretty cool and gives you a good image of what took place with MJ narrating the story. I’m releasing this tonight instead of tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM because I know its a holiday and extended weekend for a lot of you, so I hope you enjoy! #MJ #MichaelJordan #SavageMoments
