Anthony Rizzo's dad pushed him to win Gold Glove Award | MLB on ESPN

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo says his dad is a huge reason why he won the 2019 National League Gold Glove Award. Rizzo says growing up his dad used to chip him golf balls to field barehanded in the living room and from there he always stressed the defensive side of baseball. Rizzo says the aspect of playing first base that he takes the most pride in is when he makes a tough catch for his infielders. Rizzo finishes by saying how excited he is for David Ross to take over as manager of the Cubs.
