When designing the course in the early 1920’s, course architect George Thomas would fly his plane directly on to the grounds, taxiing it down the fairway of this long Par 5 aptly titled The Landing. Playing at 579 from the tournament tees, The Landing is a 3 shot Par 5 no matter how long or how frequent of a flyer you might be.
