What are golf chippers for?
In this episode of Cobe Life on the course I demonstrate the versatility of Golf Chippers once again. In this case it’s about their usefulness out of the Woods. So many Rounds I’ve played have been saved by hitting my Chipper in awkward situations. In these particular cases the Chipper saved me from potentially shooting a Double or even Triple Bogey, and instead I walked away with a Bogey, or even saved Par.
The reason Golf Chippers are so good at getting you out of trouble is because of three advantages they provide. Having a Lie Angle similar to a Putter means your swing radius is significantly reduced. Therefore you are able to take fuller swings in tight spots. The head weight on Chippers is quite high. This helps the Chipper plow through thick rough to make contact with the ball. Aiming with a Chipper works just like putting. It’s so simple in fact that punching through tiny windows can seem easy. That’s why I no longer fear awkward lies. I can attack Greens with significant trouble around them, and know that if I hit a wayward shot. There’s a good chance one shot with the golf chipper can get me back into position.
Should you consider adding a Chipper to your bag? Hopefully this video sheds some additional light on their usefulness.
