got her to five under with one hole to play Jin young Co for a birdie at the sixth and this is more what we’re expecting to see from Jin Yano injury has on her final hole of the day this for an eagle on the 18th takes two good shots to get close to this scen it’s insanely tight with the two trees frame in this hole but what a magnificent shot backto back birdies 13 players have been in that front left bunker and nobody has got up and down from it and you have to land it so tight to the edge of that bunker if you want to get it close wow that’s impressive yeah it’s one [Applause] under did she oh nice way to do it cting from the right spot on the green little bit uphill fantastic and a solid you can see she’s four over pass and we talked about that cut going between three and four over we know that Lydia needs to get this up and down she might just go ahead and hold it it’s going to be a three for Lydia four over has a good chance going to try and make the Olympic team this is e for a birdie running one down the green she won last week in Japan traveled Sunday because of the time difference arrived here on Sunday so that was the good news had to get over the the time change in the jet La good Kim pz this is her third shot at the third that’s a highlight for one of our Corbridge Financial team PJ of America and LPG professionals who work the 13th Grace Kim is that going to kick in towards the flag yes it is great t- shot from Grace Kim mashita if she continues to play like this maybe see often playing in the United States and that one it’s impressive I mean it was a good looking role but also even though the approach was conservative over to bouier for a birdie at number three and leaving it in the right spot below the hole these greens are so pure that 30 at the 15th go these screens are rolling fantastic it’s just been a tough year for Selena she’s 135th in the race to the CM K great to see Christy back playing on the LPGA Tour oh yes christe is a champion of the KPMG women PGA but also a junior PG especially if it’s going to be a three quter swing Tom this should bounce yeah what a great shot she’s played well in the early going bir the first two holes of her round so she’s got a chance to be three under for the day through four holes might start trying to get the patter working here yeah had a few the European players talking about how this reminds them just a little bit of Breeze slightly hurting well struck this should be ideal this has a pretty good line trying to turn things around exactly what she needed yeah over the weekend just a few weeks ago in Pennsylvania it’s just1 yards today players can get this one close and this is a great example yeah it just seems to be on a golf course that is Allison corus roberie at the seventh yeah so that gets last year’s US Women’s Open Champion to two under she started to find a little bit of form last week too just 130 yard oh what a controlled shot that was fantastic she’s been a little frustrated with her game this year says this is a totally different hole today playing as the second most difficult hole on this golf course almost half stroke over par but my it making it look easy young Aussie stephh kyaku at the 18th a moment ago maybe okay so Steph say she’s been making a lot of birdies trying to keep the bogey a little bit of a down slope there but lots of green to work with what a shot she couldn’t remember having done here She is again in a major no green to work with so good oh my gosh that was spectacular K what a shot I would have bet she wouldn’t have got inside 25 ft Stanford having a nice day and a half this for birdie at the 10th couple of years on the LPGA Tour and that is Seline borga Selen borga I I think Seline boutier yes summed it up pretty well you have to be precise off the t-shot then you have to be precise into the green and then hopefully your putter Works to join bouer her solheim cup teammate this was a moment ago and look out Stark early in the season realized her putter had gotten out of whack pz part of that rich Financial team the PGA of America and LPGA professional she played in the Ford champion the eth this hle is just an absolute brute but from the very center of the Fairway looking for an eagle could it be not quite but that is the lie on the up slope she’s the sixth player today to find the water it was an aggressive play on the second shot I’ll be honest I did not expect that she was going to try to to get it all the way to the green thought it was going to be some sort of punch with an absolute be at the eth and pays it off with the third birdie of the day at this toughest Amy Yang has this at the sixth for birdie that’s a hole that she got there from Rose’s shot got a little lucky hit in the edge of the collar yeah and it kicked it towards the flag so she’s going to have a chance for birdie it looks like she’s going to end this run of Bogies a at 10 coming in with an eight iron and this is a much easier hole location more accessible than yesterday so Selen has endured this is Amy Yang chipping for a birdie here at number seven so quick down the hill did she yes look at that and Amy Yang moves to four under par trying to uh finish with the flurry here and get to the top of the leaderboard she’s got a chance to do it it’s going to be definitely looking up with a lofted club oo I was holding my breath on that one too Morgan had a great view of that follow of that ball it did not miss the tree by very much but now has to really for birdie at five she got that right yeah well done greens through 12 holes today this played as the easiest par three on the course this her first appearance since the US Women’s Open where she missed the cut go thirded date for Amy Yang uphill the whole way this is nice Pace to it yeah she’s going to get she was taking a practice swing like she was really going to go after this one this looks pretty good if it’s right Club gets a bit of a soft bounce off of that Fairway cut but in those cases today guire gets her a three underp TR to hold this round together ball way above her feet blocked out by that big tree trying to hit some kind of a fade with a hook Lo rang from outside the cut line now on it she plays 14 beautifully done you can kind of see in her a little breathing room she was the first player to win her Pro debut since Beverly Hansen who she’ll drop a shot she’ll be one of now 15 players already in this group yet well that changes at the 13th finally that three players Tak te during the proam having a little fun with that Sly Bier here yes Hope Barnet from the LPGA was out there with a a moment ago Lauren harage for birdie she’s around that cut line sa for the moment wow even safer now second birdie of the round for Lauren only made one birdie yesterday this is one of the hardest holes to make a birdie so that is a really good to at 10th off a slight down he’ll lie 120 yard to this whole location not bad Nice Shot she was set up quite a bit open to play for that little bit of a fall to the here here 15 talk about players stopping in the middle of the round to sign autograph Selen yeah so important for these Japanese players to be around for the weekend they’re trying to make the on the previous hole just looking to stripe it down the middle this headed left get a good little kick there back towards the very center of the Fairway birdies to be made IA boot away there aren’t many birdies to be made Tom but as we’ve seen there’s plenty of bogeys to be found around this golf course and the scoring average hasn’t quite gotten as high as it had so far at this point yesterday NASA set up wide open with that really trying to take something Stark her closing hole St his uphill moves around to the left so you’re pitching into the up slope one of the things that she’s working on is trying to take the club away first instead of that’s one of the soft second to the seventh forced to punch it because of that tree on the left what a shot yeah her way up the leaderboard this at 14 froma start this is from 2373 where plays up hill this is tight down those tree line on the right look at those eyes are staring that down with that h on you for a birdie at seven did you get it spot on yes she did and this round continues to get better just needs to get it started not too bad yeah should be a five there she should stay a brutal test peaceful place to come and play golf unless you’re playing in a major that’s a good effort there tracking oh no one more roll great camera work there tremendous group of uh technicians out here working on our coverage led by producer Jesse West assistant producer Abby Johnson here is muu Yamashita 22nd in the world world and playing great she tied for 12 at the US Women’s Open UT had the round going in the wrong direction but she is held together as she tees it up at 18 this one looks like it’s fading a little bit up the right gets a nice little kick a little bit to the left that’ll be just fine yeah at the season on tour the greens and regulation average for the higher tour 67% this week in the high 50s it’s just some of the most accurate players in the world are really struggling to give themselves opportunities for birdie it’s a good lead isn’t it from where she was absolutely it’s not a bad leave here up closer to the front part of this bunker able to generate some spin oh my goodness look at this I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this in the like the middle of a hole well that bunker is just so deep that it would almost be level with her shoulders if she were to stand down in the bunker and try and hit that shot that was actually pretty well played I think that looks like a shot she’s practiced before easy to get turned around here at Sali second shot for Leona Maguire at 16 and how about the way she’s played today one under oh that’s going to get to the top shelf checking with Charlie Hall at 16 yeah I got to use a little bit of that back stop to get it closer to the hole will it keep going Tom this hole is a beauty but it has been a beast today second hardest hole on the the golf course it’s just so firm that landed is one of the softest we’ve seening off a bogey at the last and she’s taking dead aim at this one oh yeah and look at that stop Amy Yang that was an eight iron likely trying to land at about 10 short of this whole location pitch it when we’ve seen players pitch it short of the green page original s about 5 ft away did you judge it perfectly aha she did that’s like stealing one right there what a CT Kentucky Lauren hartlage this for birdie gives her extra breathing room and look at the tough up the hill falling just a little a little bit to her left here here at the seven this is for her fourth birdie of the round and that is tracking yeah gets her to one under par for the championship couple of holes to play Talk scrambling what a week to turn the tide oh almost thought I gave her the Jinx there Paige that was incredible 10 for 10 look at certainly provided enough excitement last time as well with as she said she didn’t get into either mizuo or the US Open so she had a lot of time to do some work worked a lot on her mental game and FG on is she going to finish with a birdie yeah just the ninth birdie today on this part three roll here sahali early evening keep that dinner res laen hartage four birdies in her last five uh for the day this is to shoot 69 oh yeah really nice good bounce back nearly perfect

  1. The curiosity and thirst for knowledge displayed here are infectious. It's a testament to the insatiable human appetite for understanding.😻

  2. Lots of great golf and storylines.

Rough week for Korda. Just got off to a bad start and the OB shot on the back nine was hard to watch. Hope she figures things out before Olympics. Wish her the best.

I thought Corpuz was going to move up. Still think her driving accuracy will help her over the weekend. Expecting her to have a shot on Sunday.

Yang played great. She was just solid all day.

Schmelzel came out of nowhere. Glad to see her playing well like she did earlier this year. And Thompson has being playing great since the retirement announcement. Love her attitude in all the interviews.

Meanwhile, I love the fact that this tournament is so important to the Olympic invites. Hope they cover the US and Japan rankings throughout the weekend.

Based on the past few weeks, it's so hard to pick winners. They seem to come from behind. Just based on that, I like Corpuz or Boutier. 🔒 Lock it in. 🤙

  3. Hinako Shibuno has definitely found something and been on a heater in this month of June!⛳
The Smiling Cinderella fandom is hyped for sure!

  4. Nelly Korda shot 81 today and missed the cut. Per Beth Ann Nichols, Nelly agreed to talk after the round off to the side but became so emotional that she had to stop and re-start again.
