the time has come Costco Kirkland signatures have brought out their first ever set of irons now you’ve seen on the channel so far tested the Costco golf balls the Kirkland Signature golf balls with tremendous success then brought out a putter very good wedges fantastic more recently they brought out Kirkland Signature driver again very very impressive they’ve now added the last piece of the jigsaw a set of irons you get seven irons this box of Clubs cost me £480 and I didn’t buy just one box I actually bought two boxes because I’m going to give a set away to someone watching this video so be sure to stay tuned to the end of the video to find out how you could win your own set of Kirkland sing irons right I’m excited because I’ve not seen these in person yet I’ve only seen images of them uh first off the box is very very small actually a lot Slimmer than I expected them to be on the box you’ve got obviously the images of the seven irons you go from four iron down to pitching wedge um is there any Spiel oh yeah features forged face to increase ball speed for maximum distance injected insert to reduce vibration improve sound consistency as suppose has been taken out the tailor made manual a little bit tungsten weight used to progressively throughout the set to dial in the center of gravity everything else you want to hear and the irons work from 4 IR of pitching wedge Elevate mph milph steel shaft by True Temper and Lampkin crossline 360 grips it all sounds great right let’s open this bad boy up I don’t know why I’ve got my glove on let’s whip that off for a second right let’s open this up actually there’s an image of the injection the foam injected into the head it’s a hollow head design again so similar to a p 90 be sure to subscribe to the hit Channel because I’m going to be testing these up against the tailor made p790s as well in future videos you know what if this video gets 30,000 likes I’ll put together a full set of Kirkland Signature clubs driver irons wedges Putter and even use the golf ball and go out and play some golf and see how I get on right in the Box it’s all very neatly packaged to be honest you got a bit of extra padd in here let’s whip that out and there’s the seven irons let’s h pull them away just dead simple inside Kirkland Signature Black Box they do it well I’ll be honest to them I’ll give it to them they do it very very well right oh these look good where’s the 7even irer there we go wow that’s a good looking iron very very very shiny oh my goodness right let’s unbox them fully actually look really nice these are just a a stiff flex shaft I think you have the options between regular and stiff obviously we went with a stiff option um lamping grip it’s all sealed it’s all protected there’s not a single blemish on the iron at all that’s really nice right let’s some box and then hit some seven irons some wedges and some four irons okay this is a true test how easy these wrappers come off one take yes oh very good premium premium packaging right so I’ve had a quick look on the website and actually the lofs are on there as well 31° Loft for the 7 iron uh so strong again probably matched up very similar to tailor made p790s from memory um I’ll put the loft of the p790s up on screen as well just so you know honestly I’m so impressed with the the look of that club like there’s really shiny Chrome there’s this very small Slither of almost like brushed um steel there you got the obviously Kirkland Signature printed right up there at the top forged printed on the on the huzzle I mean they look fantastic head shape wise not sure what it what it reminds me of actually quite boxy quite a sharp leading front edge quite a boxy style to the club looks really good right first hit Kirkland Signature irons well that was pretty nice little tiny push just to the right side of the green but that felt good that actually felt really good so far I’ve not been disappointed with any Kirkland Signature product yet really not the ball I think the ball’s fantastic the putter was really solid the wedges performed brilliantly the the driver which I’ve only just recently reviewed was very very strong and now these they’ve done a great job granted they definitely taken inspiration from other brands these are very much inspired uh by Tailor Made p790s I mean it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s some sort of potential lawsuit kicking in somewhere because they’re almost a carbon copy well think about the price £480 for a set of seven irons that’s pretty pretty good oh that felt awesome that felt so good and that’s a 7even out there carrying 177 yards really high up in the air felt easy to hit I mean genuinely Felt So Good off the face actually I’m actually genuinely excited about playing a full round of golf with these Kirk C clubs again if this video gets to 30,000 likes we’ll make that a priority and do it very very soon and there’s definitely going to be a giveaway at the end of this video to win a set of these irons as well like I say I bought two sets tiny little push I’m just I’m wait I mean all three of those then were fairly centered I’m just waiting for one where I don’t quite strike it as good not going to do it on purpose but it’ll it’ll come it’ll be a matter of time but first three shots all just slightly right of the flag not much curvature in it really high ball flight all good for spin rate there was nearly 7,000 RPM which is really strong that’s right down the flag that is right down the flag go on then go on then would you believe it there’s not many shots I’ve ever hold in in reviews imagine if it came from a Kirkland Signature set right one more with the seven and then we got to hit some wedges and some four IRS that was a bad strike I hit that really [Music] bad very good still found the green honestly I hit that so badly really off the heel bottom strike and it still managed to find green only nine yards away from the pin solid right let’s hit some longer clubs I’m going to go actually we’ll go short first we’ll go pitching wedge okay pitch and wedge up next Loft for this is 45° um interesting again the head shape it’s a very straight Leading Edge it’s not sharp it’s just just straight but they’re actually quite rounded as you get towards the toe and then the top Edge is actually quite rounded it’s a nice head shape it really is it’s not too bulky it’s not too thick it’s definitely not thin I it does I’ve had um titless t100’s in the bag for a while and they kind of look quite similar to that it’s a nice looking club right put the flag 140 yards away let’s see if we can hit some some darts with the pitching wedge they feel easy to hit go a bit I bet that a bit soft but feel easy to hit I think I just took a bit too much speed off that then suppose 45° of loft is a normal pitching wedge I’m expecting it to come out a bit too strong there but I think I can hit this it’s pretty hard to get it to 140 yards right down it get there it’s just coming up a little bit short but maybe that’s more my prediction of how far this club’s going to go like 130 135 is a perfect distance for this club yeah it’s 130 on the nose they’re all absolutely down the line of the flag and consistent they’ve all pretty much landed just at the front of the green what what I I actually do quite like and it worries me sometimes with hollowe headed Club designs is sometimes a shot certainly with a a more lofted Club can come out almost too strong like you suddenly hit one 10 15 yards too long it comes out as a rocket where on the first few shots there I’m not I’m not feeling that’s the case with the pitching W let’s go one more I’ve tried to hit that one a bit harder and again it’s kind of in that 137 carry distance really good very honestly so far I’m so impressed with this set of clubs I think the the the feel the looks the performance so far again I can’t wait to get them out on the golf course has been really impressive there is one major downside and i’ and I’ve pretty much said this in my journey of testing Kirk and signature clubs from Costco is obviously you don’t get any fit in it’s limited you can get that set in stiff rag right-handed not even sure if they come out in left-handed just yet like it’s very very restrictive and if you’re taller than average shorter than average you swing super fast super slow it’s not going to suit you like the custom fitting options are just not non-existent um kind of if you’re in the middle of the road you might get away with it it but that’s not the vast majority you know everyone swings it different you know how important Club fitting is for any brand and any golfer so that’s that’s the big downside if they can crack that don’t know how but if they can somehow do inore custom fitting I who knows might that might be next I actually having Kirkland Signature Fitters then they on for a real winner right let’s go for Ryan lovely head shape again a little bit more of a Top Line as you’d expect a little bit thicker oh that felt fantastic it’s just drawn over a little bit God that’s come out hot it’s nearly 220 yards carry distance with a four iron just a little bit of a low draw one granted but came out really nice come on let’s try and hit a slightly straighter one than that experiment trying to hit a couple of different shot shapes as well just to show that uh these clubs are had some sort of secret magic wand I don’t know what happened there that was uh that was awful I don’t if I’ve uh yeah that’s a dreadful golf shot how does it recover though after that horrendous shot how do I recover it’s not horrendous yeah I’m I don’t know I was very impressed with the four iron and sorry I was very impressed with the seven iron and the wedge four iron don’t know only a couple of shots there but he’s feeling a little bit maybe a little bit too whippy the shaft going on to the idea that obviously custom fitting a big auction as I’m increasing my swing speed here to hit this forine it does feel a little bit a little bit softer a bit harder to control for me I’m normally using an X stiff [Music] shaft I’ve timed that one nicely but just feels a little bit less that’s a nice shot just a little bit less consistent for me just being in that stiff shaft and I’m sure there’ll be comments saying yeah but you could reshaft it with extra stiff shafts but goes against the the principle the purpose of it like this set comes in regular and stiff if you then buy this set you have to then buy load a shaft SE stiff you got to have them fitted like the costal just balloon um it’s a lot of faffing around right let’s H one more good one come on yeah very nice right guys before we dive into the data and let’s have a look at okay so just diving through the data there and actually a lot of it looks good 7 IR there was carrying carrying 174 yards solid spin rate 6,000 6,200 uh really really good spin rates uh pitching wedge was solid 131 yards a carry 9,000 spin rate in the 4 that was this the club I maybe just didn’t feel quite as confident with just I felt the shaft was just just not as uh suited to me but still average carry 212 yards spin rate just under 4,000 very impressive set of golf clubs and I can’t wait to put a full bag of Kirk and cedent CH clubs together guys thanks for watching stay tuned lots
