number one this year yeah this one I think I think this is the first win ever what’s up everybody how you living no putts giving Tony and Chris we’re back subscribe before we do anything else subscribe hit the buttons we get fined if we don’t say that yeah we do get find Tony B yob B what does that mean it’s the my golf spy be your own bra brand I chose this hat for a reason as we’ll we’ll talk about it in this episode it’s on your list was your idea I did not wear this hat for any particular reason other than I don’t think I’ve worn the Pelican Hill hat on any episode it’s not like some bizarre bird appreciation type thing it could be it could be donate donate to the Pelicans uh man I feel terrible terrible for Ben just gut wrenching Taylor pendrith Wins yesterday this is the the CJ cup Byron Nelson TPC Craig Ranch which is a super super easy course for these guys so like a million under you know ends up winning it but oh number 18 I mean so Ben Kohl’s Ben Kohl’s is all of us didn’t help that I maybe placed a little wager on V to win at the beginning he was plus 900 odds at the beginning of the uh fourth round so sprinkled a little cash CU you know I got $s in college to pay for and things so I was like come on and he birdy 16 a fantastic Birdie on 17 he’s one up they’re playing 18 par five and then easiest hole on the course and then easiest hole on the course and Lead Ben was the only only player all day to make bogey on the easiest hole of the course misses a five-footer for par after flubbing a chip oh sets himself up he had it he had it take nothing away from Taylor pendrith who I think it one stretch on I think it was the third round had back-to-back Eagles as short game was phenomenal all week he absolutely deserved to win but I guarantee you if you ask Ben Kohl’s he felt like he let one slip away I mean this is not I mean this is barely a PGA Tour event let’s be honest what what happened nson we I know Byron might come back and be top 20 in that event God at this point Nelly though I want to get it so Nelly cord is going for six in a row this week can she do it do you think get six in a row why not why not she got to five in a row like it’s just one week at a time just got a win this week and there you go just it’s got to win one in a row which is just one cuz you can’t have a row of one I don’t think yeah I think that’s the the mustsee portion of the week see what Nelly can accomplish and we’re getting close to Major well we’re in major season the second major of the PGA Championship we’re going to talk about that that’s weird to me still the the New Order yeah yeah well I mean I get that it totally disrupts your your golf viewing schedule so I understand much of an inconvenience it might might be yeah the it’s weird the major I care the least about comes sooner I don’t know what’s the make of that so hey you just get it over sooner you it’s not the not US Open except tiger did get an exemption which we’ll talk about that too but a couple a couple equipment things I just want to get your take on this Tony so last week we had the best Mallet Putters came out for those those of us that are in the Mallet putter category we’re going to do a quick rundown here but before are you still using a mallet Tony are you still in theing the Mallet space I am I’m solidly a Mal I can never remember the name of it it’s like it’s one of the pxg black somethings black birds Black Jacks I I don’t know Black Ops Jack Ops Black Jack Ops Black Ops double yeah who knows double barrel Black Ops Tony no idea got what what do you like about the mount putter versus like a stander because you you did used to be like a very severe tow hang and I yeah blade butter guy I think half of it is just the evolution over time it used to be like if you were a strong art guy enjoy enjoy your blade because that’s really the only option you have mhm back in my day son uh Mallet Putters were predominantly if not almost exclusively straight back straight through right built with that face pointing Towards the Sky type of deal and now now maybe don’t get the extreme Arc but you can get a a fairly strong Arc model and so I think it’s the fact that I can find a mallet that fits me mhm lots of variety and they just work better and I say that you know if we look at our metrics we don’t do we don’t do direct comparisons Blaze versus mouse we don’t mix and match but it is it is interesting when you look at our metrics you know basically how many how many one putts what one putt percentage is a lot of what ours is built off of because we find it’s really interesting and why we wait 10 foot the heaviest as well because if you look at at the cohort of Putters in any test at 5 foot golfers make an overwhelming majority in our test it’s roughly 75% plus or minus that percentage little higher with a mallet than it is with a blade okay when we go to the extreme the other not the extreme but our longest putt distance 20 foot yep you see similar it’s not quite 75% it’s actually I think it’s a little bit higher the two putt percentage but basically it’s like yeah at five foot you can almost be assured of a one putt that that’s going to be far away the majority result M at 20 foot you’re going to two putt Far and Away the majority putt uh result and it’s plus or minus 5% five 5 foot 1% or one putt 20 putt 20 foot two two putts so very similar numbers there and then we get to 10 foot M that’s the make or break one yeah that’s where that’s where like across the field it’s almost 50/50 and so that’s why like hey if a putter excels at at 10t it’s probably going to be it’s going to be one you want consider for sure that is kind of the that is the distance that in our test where we see the biggest difference in the models and so bringing that back full circle to my experience I just find like I I make more of those intermediate length putts those six to 10 6 to 12 Footers with a mallet and that’s you know chalk that up to the stability typically is what gets the credit so if you can if you have a putter that is stable you’re going to get a repeatable result as long as it doesn’t sort of fight with your stroke and that used to be when I getting into a straight back straight through and I think a lot of guys will have this experience you feel like it’s not working with me it’s kind of working against me and I have to fight it pH you don’t want that feeling in a Putter and now again with with so many tow hang options available in that Mallet space you can get a really stable putter that you don’t have to fight with and so that’s yeah I I don’t I I’m not going to sit here and go I’m never going back to a blade um but but I’ve gone from a guy that gravitates towards you know small very heavy tow hang blades to a guy who’s going to who’s going to try and find a mallet with as much tow as I can find well yeah we look at our our results this year just very quickly number three overall was the Wilson Staff model cs22 Center shafted too I mean that’s I believe that’s what the Cs stands for you want to try and extrapolate that didn’t sleep at a holiday in last night Odyssey try hot 5K Rossi s in the number two slot is that I’m going to just assume that’s one of the AI K it’s got I mean give give Callaway credit all the credit in the world for for not being afraid to make really long names actually this is not this does not no that’s not an AI one no CU I was looking at this is H this is the previous one so yeah could have been past generation strong I mean I like it you’re always and number one this year yeah this one nardy I think this is the first win ever for bardy in one of our putter tests and this was a case where I mean we looked at the numbers and you know Philip kind of does the test and um kind of has an opinion about what he thinks does well right never doesn’t always like crunch the data right that’s typically something we do after the fact it’s one of those hey I I think this is going to do well this this is what looked good this this the numbers going in my head I think this is going to be our winner when you crunch and like he he said he’s like yeah betard is going to run away with it and it did like this one was this one was freakishly good yeah I mean and I said I think to me what it speaks you to as well a couple things one like I said every year tests are different and things and some years you get a particularly great match with testers and that particular year and this year I think what we saw was the betard putter matched up exceptionally well for a lot of our testers and you saw I just saw naughty Doberman you saw naughty do Doberman I saw a putter basically D well they said and it was the number one from 10 feet right which which like said yeah number one from 10et number number one from 20 ft um you know maybe slightly slightly below average from 5 F feet slightly below like our average score should be roughly eight it was 7.9 so mhm yeah so right there I mean I’m going to take that all day yeah yeah this is one where I was like hm might be time to get Bob call I wonder for how many how many people you know if they’re in the market for a new putter like you said we talk all the time about how hard it is for companies just to get into the consideration set right we know just look at sales figures like if someone’s going to go and they’re looking for a new put they’re probably going to look at a Scotty Cameron they’re possibly going to look at an odyssey SL Callaway product pick it up you know maybe look maybe a ping maybe not you know depending how do you get into that consideration set and I wonder for how many people now are like huh okay I’ll at least give it a try like it tested really well I’m going to put it in the consideration set I it’s so hard to to to kind of bro the conversation get a seat at the table you know when you do have category dominators like this but maybe this is what kind of does it for betard in terms of getting them into that particular space yeah that conversation right Adams used the the phrase wall hangers in the past right and this idea of you know hey you have these these things that are these really pretty kind of Mill designs and then you have Putters that are actually made to be used on a golf course mhm we’ve seen the evolution from bardy they may not like the description of a wall hanger but I think you know early on it’s a lot what of what it was but now as we’ve seen these designs evolve like these yeah I mean I looked at this result I was like all right I’m in sign me up well and and to their credit like again one of the things that that’s very interesting to me about bet nardy and we went and visited last year I went out with Dave wolf and uh we you know went through the fitting process and they have great Fitters they have the capability to dial you in uh in a lot of different regards but they also have a Milling operation on site right that that’s that’s part of what they do the their capabilities to Mill intricate designs and things into clubs is I’m gonna say unparalleled in terms of having something on site right there now when you do that are you doing it for aesthetic reasons or are you doing it for performance reasons and you know take a guy like a Matt you know Matt Fitzpatrick right he plays bardy Putters uh certainly um been with them for a while and if you look at a Matt Fitzpatrick putter you’ll notice that on the front of it he has kind of those concentric Half Moon grooves that some of you may recognize as being indicative of a yes putter from back in the day but point being with Groove technology and some of these things man if bet Hardy can match up that like we’ve seen with even roll with how important that has been for performance over time for even roll if bardy could do something similar oo look out if you haven’t tried a bardy putter before are you going to try one now Tony you going to try one I I would like to try it’s been a while I have I own one bet nardy and my bet nardy is so old has a mauno logo Oh I thought you were going to say Ben Hogan maybe like the baby Ben yeah I do actually you’re right though I do I own two I forgot I have a Ben Hogan belly putter that is also so which you gotta like we also have what do we have I know we didn’t talk about this much so I’m going to just ask you very quickly about your opinion on the best drivers 2024 these were the mid swing speeds I know we talked High we talked low you know the best for distance this year was stealth 2 plus the best for distance as well kind of the top two in that category so we had stealth two plus then we had callow Paradigm AI smoke Triple Diamond which is the one in my bag currently third place overall Cobra dark speed LS runner up overall stealth two plus and the best overall again not a surprise to me Callaway Paradigm AI smoke triple diamond yeah this is what does that list say to you Tony what does it well first it tells you like low spin’s going to work for a lot of guys and you know part of our fitting process compared to so I think if you go to a a traditional fitter a a good fitter even in many cases they’re going to say they’re going to look at you and go hey you your numbers are X Y we’re not going to we’re not even going to look at a low spin driver we need to get your spin up or you know we we wouldn’t want to be any lower than where we are as part of our fitting process we want to give everything a chance to compete and so you know we’re we’re going to do what we can with these low spin drivers to get those numbers up so if it’s hey if we need to add spin we’re going to add Loft maybe put in a softer Shaft or or maybe a shaft that just launches a little higher adds a little spin so we’re going to we’re going to pull every lever that we can in our Arsenal to to get the spin up into a sensible range we’re not we’re not trying to take a low spin driver and make it high spin but we want to get into the playable range we want that ball to fly straight and when we we find that when we do that when we’re able to do that it’s not uncommon especially in this midswing speed range for these low spin drivers to really kind of rise to the top so you know we’ve seen it before uh and we’re we’re seeing it again this year so it’s you know it’s one of those things that people are like well does this make sense I’m like you know it’s this this is if you want to call it a phenomenon I I wouldn’t even call it a phenomenon anymore because it’s repeatable we see it year in year out that if you can take a low spin driver and and get it that spin into the playable range you’re going to get good results because you know that that CG being forward where it invariably is more ball speed right like yeah right and yeah you’re going to you’re going to trade a little bit of forgiveness away but but you’re also going to get some of it back in some sense as we talked about as that CG goes forward spin rates tend to be more consistent and so you do get kind of a a pseudo forgiveness benefit there it’s just a different way to think about forgiveness versus just pure Moi and the other thing too is there is this kind of pairing that sometimes takes place right where a a CG location if you will agrees with a a golfer or type of golfer a segment of golfers however you want to classify and so there are guys and I’m one of them for sure that if that if that CG gets too far back and with it thei goes up I tend to struggle with that and so I’m I’m often more my impact is more centered more consistent with a mid to forward Center gravity driver and lower spin models we we’ve talked about this before you can you can take every forgiveness metric you have Moi whatever spin consistency spin consistency if you love the Ping word we love the Ping word you you throw that out the window because as I’ve said before at the end of the day the most forgiving driver the most forgiving Club whatever category is invariably going to be the one you hit closest to the center of the face more often and so if you are hitting a low spin driver closer to the center of the face more often than you are with a high Moi driver it will be the more forgiving one for you that’s math that’s just math that math ma the big thing that I took out of that was you know in in in a in a sense this is where the industry has confused people because you work so hard on sending a particular message that once people receive that message it can be really hard to say well we’re just going to kind of have to backtrack and change that so the idea that low spin you know to the degree that it’s been promoted as low spin is for your faster players your higher swing speed guys you know T level players Etc I’m not saying that’s not true that’s certainly largely true and we can back that up with again you see the data you see the usage right by players on on tour but that’s a different Beast low spin in the right conditions so long as it isn’t too low might be a great solution if you’re in that 90 to 100 105 which again it’s our mid swing speed that’s probably slightly higher than industry average for for Middle SP but if you’ve not looked at a lower spin driver because you were thinking for faster players they’re not forgiving enough those things hold stop stop look at this list look at this list go try the Cobra LS go try the stealth 2 plus from last year go try for the love people go try the Callaway Triple Diamond the one that’s in my bag right now go try it because I promise you if you get fit like you said and get in that you may find that like you said the forgiveness is there because you find the center a little more often and it’s it’s one of these things where the golf equipment industry likes to put everything into a bucket because it’s easy to understand right this is this is a forgiving driver this is a low spin driver but they also at the same time give you as a golfer or the fitter you’re working with all of these levers to pull within that low spin category right oh I got weights I can put a weight farther back to put more spin in I can add Loft at the hosle there I can put in I can these shafts everything’s been interchangeable forever now I can change to a shaft that’s going to give me a little higher launch a little more spin all of these levers that allow you to take what is bucketed as a low spin driver maybe maybe take it out of that bucket and and put it into a more sensible more intuitive more valuable bucket that is fast because that fast that that translates whereas low spin I can I can I can work on that right I can tweak and tune right yeah I it’s a fascinating list to me uh and I and I think right like you said it kind of opened people’s eyes to what what might or might not work for them speaking of which I didn’t see this one coming I did not see this coming at all Ben Griffin not that everybody knows the name Ben Griffin should pay attention at least mauno staffer professional golfer exceptional golfer what golf ball is he playing now Tony he’s in a maxfly maxfly another there becomes I mean I guess technically the third professional golfer of no it’s done this right it stepped up we went from Fred Fred Funk was kind of the first professional to put Max fly in play obviously that was on on PJ Champions then Lexi so Lexi been with Bridgestone right said I’m going to maxfly what’s in maxfly and it’s like okay Fred to Lexi now PJ tour what the hell Tony what is going on it’s good ball it’s a really good ball it is in terms of you know performance right there’s a lot of balls that perform similarly we’ve talked about that it’s a good ball the quality is excellent we’ve you know we’ve measured these for years within ball lab maxfly several models near the top to they’re we get the sense they’ve kind of hinted at it we get the sense that they are paying for a little extra in the quality control checks than than some of the other foremost made balls uh so like the performance is there the quality is there transla you significantly higher price for the consumer right they’re so keep price low there’s there’s no reason why a tour player couldn’t play a maxfly and so what we’re seeing I think now is the the fact that Dick Sporting Goods the owner of the max 5 brand kind of understands that they have a really good product they have a product good enough to be played on tour and so hey yeah why not why not invest a little in a tour sponsorship like everybody else who makes a quality golf ball does so that that’s what we’re seeing but if you’re so if you’re Ben Griffin I’m going to flip this around a littleit so you’re Ben Griffin and you’re saying hey okay we got opportunities we got options out here the golf ball as we’ve seen from a number of tour Pros is not a place where you take the check in place of performance or something that’s going to work we know we’ve seen golfers do that and struggle mightily so I’m Ben Griffin I’m sitting there and say okay why not go with Titleist why not go with we have new Callaway balls right we have the next generation of uh of tailor made balls that are out there why not go with one one of those why would go with maxfly in place of one of those and it can’t be just a paycheck because like I said that’s going to blow up in your face you know sooner rather than later if that’s the reason you’re doing it well it depends on the quality of the ball to an extent so I got to assume Ben Griffin he didn’t just sign the like hey here you go here’s a contract sign it trust us it’s good I’m sure he went out and and did his own testing and likely found that for his needs it performed form Med as well or on par with however you want to phrase it with the other things in his consideration set and yeah if if we’re being honest if we’re looking at it and thinking about you who’s who’s liable to write Ben Griffin a bigger check Callaway or dicks tius or dicks well those those other guys they write a lot of big checks and Max Fly writes very few and my my hunch is that the offer was simply better so hey if I’ve got if I’ve got three products in my consideration set and I am infinitely comfortable with any of the three yeah I mean what’s what’s the decision point at that well I I mean I think that’s a good point we talk about this with tour sponsorships all the time at some point in time you know if I’m Ben Griffin again I’m not a household name would I rather be the number one guy at place a or the fifth sixth seventh eighth guy at Place B and two degree they say hey if I can be the number one person at this I mean okay I I get that biggest fish in a smaller Pond or you know mediumsized fish in a large ass Pond I get it yeah and I mean look I’m sure I’m sure mauno is kind of kicking him themselves thinking hey maybe we should they got be aggressively because Muno has a competent golf ball right it’s a good ball does make golf balls and Muno just had a Stafford go going to play your ball right and so hey maybe maybe Muno needs to start thinking about ball as part of the contract deal but I I do think this is going to be a rare case because as we’ve seen I think tailor maid’s a good example for sure Titleist is always been the example and in right you know Callaway is doing the same thing now where if you’ve got a ball and somebody signs a club deal you’re going to want him to play the ball that that’s going to be a line item in so so these maxxfly one-offs they’re going to be more of a rarity because it’s going to be for guys who don’t have big equipment contracts all right we got to talk Majors here last topic for the day well possibly last topic we’re talk some the major some of the things coming up but did you see what Phil said this week Tony I you know we’re going to use an acronym here f a AO y’all know what that means that we can put the screenshot up I think he I think he since deleted this however however little context basically the discussion was around live golfers and their eligibility into Majors uh which you know again we all acknowledge from the global sport perspective are the only important golf tournaments of the year don’t tell that to Ben Kohl’s tell Ben these are the four tournaments I get it and Phil basically Nelson right those are the big five yeah and the CJ cup Byron Nelson you said it Phil basically said hey if you continue to make it difficult SL impossible or what you know not actively working for way to get the top 5 10 15 players from Liv into the majors well faao what is he what is he getting at here what what do you think to play what what’s the I got a follow question for you I I don’t know if he’s you know bored on a on a Saturday night or whenever it was he tweeted this it’s it’s tough trying to ascertain exactly what he’s going for like is is he hinting that hey you know what if you’re not going to have us all of us are going to boycott like that’s not going to happen John John M would sooner have his head cut off in the middle of Riad than than not compete in a major so like I I don’t see getting widespread byin from live play players to boycott so the guys who have qualified are going to play in those Majors right and so I do Wonder it’s kind of an interesting almost math equation live where it is now if nothing changes live only matters if they in the context of the major golf season only matters if they continue to attract new talent because over time like John ROM’s in for the foreseeable future right yeah he’s not going anyway I think a good example maybe is bubble Watson no disrespect to Bubba but if Bubba doesn’t play in the majors is anybody going to go oh this this major was doesn’t even matter shouldn’t even count CU Bubba wasn’t in it right at some point it’s not the Taylor gu asteris Year we’re not right like no like these it’s time time works against Liv because after a while it’s how long before you stop carrying a cam Smith who’s not going to win anything that most golfers watch cuz he’s over on live right and again that’s predicated on the the balance not changing if if Liv can somehow steal a Scotty Sheffer right a Ludwig Obert we’ll throw like you know it’s not going to happen but say Tiger Woods right if if Liv becomes the more compelling tour to watch in terms of the the quantity and quality of talent then then maybe that balance changes but right now it’s not there and so if they don’t continue to have high-profile golfers and and nobody’s going to go in there’s no you you know guy who wasn’t on tour who becomes a star on Liv unless he wins everything right there’s no path to start him on Liv right now short of running the table do that right exactly and so as long as until such time as Liv has more Talent these guys are going to sort of filter out of our Consciousness and it’s not that the PGA Tour ceases to become relevant it’s that the live golfers even the ones who were good so long as they’re not competing in Majors the more time that goes by that these guys aren’t in Majors the less the the broader golfing public is going to Care well so here here here’s an interesting point of my like you know with with Phil I know that he you know tends to get pretty self-deprecating with some of these things and you know he was asking an interview recently kind of like hey you know you’re kind of the OG of viral golf stuff on social media this that whatever and Phil basically said well yeah maybe maybe not I you know I just say dumb and it goes viral um which he’s not wrong however I think Phil is also very calculating at at at times and so when he says something like this I think he’s trying to send some type of a warning message or or raise some type of awareness around hey if you don’t find a way to include these golfers it’s either going to degrade the quality of the event meaning the majors or it’s going to somehow fundamentally change the major so that they lose credibility down the road I think he’s wrong so what I did is I went through so I’m just going to give you like you know top five eight players here I just happen to jot down from Liv that I find to be compelling golfers that I personally really like to watch I love to watch Brooks I love to watch cam Smith DJ Rah I still like to watch Phil play Bryson Bubba Harold Marner III I like to watch all those guys play golf I replaced them because in a year or two like you said other than tiger the masses don’t watch any of these people so as much as I like having Brooks in there lud V goerg zahit theala minw Lee Sam Burns Tom Kim Jake knap silkiest swing in the world to drive 19 get 190 you know 190 mph ball speed off a driver AE batia they just reload and so the Next Generation comes up that’s not even talking about guys that established you know morawa right guys that came out of you know that particular class that have already established themelves as PJ tour stalwarts Patrick hlay but there’s another generation coming out if they don’t go to live those names become even more forgettable would be my point well that’s that’s it right so Liv needs to regenerate Talent based on who’s a star on the tour the the advantage that the tour maintains right now is that it of the two it is the one that has the potential to create a star because again it has the eyeballs it has the clear pathway into the majors for a guy who isn’t already there and so right for now the PGA Tour can backfill takes a while right some of these guys you can’t you can’t replace Brooks kka overnight but no the tour can backfill with the next generation of golfers live right now can only backfill with guys from the tour because it’s it’s not a tour that’s going to make stars not right now and again it could shift it could shift but right now and and the longer it goes without without new stars the longer it it goes it gets to the point where the best you know the top 10 the best that Liv has to offer the longer the more time that passes without some of those guys in Majors doesn’t diminish the PGA Tour the majors at all it just makes live less memorable less interesting if you will less relevant because if all the star power then is if you’re not in the tournament you seeed the star power to the other side all right let’s finish up with this because we do have a major coming up we have the PGA Championship coming up Scotty sheffer’s been on a rooll we know it Undisputed number one player on the planet has looked tiger esque at times certainly in terms of wagering certainly in terms of just like oh my gosh if this guy plays his best anybody can any anybody beat him I don’t know so there’s one guy that can beat him Tony Brooks Kea only Scotty beats Scotty you tell me why do you think Scotty’s going to win and I’m going to tell you why I think I’m putting more money on Brooks than I am Scotty you’re probably putting more money on Brooks because you get better odds but um Scott Scotty’s gonna be the chalk here but if Scotty plays his best he wins Tia green best player in the world right now if he putts we’ve seen if Scotty goes out plays his game and putts average just an average putter for the week he’s going to walk away with it so so here here’s my contention and I disagree Brooks kka is the Superman of Majors something happens we’ve seen the switch flip Scotty Sheffer has not had to come down the stretch dueling against a Brooks kepka at a major and to the degree that Scotty I I don’t want to say he’s intimidating cuz I don’t think he is in terms of his presence certainly not like tiger was intimidating there is nobody that gives less attention to that or cares less about other people like that than Brooks kepka he does not care he wants to go he wants to win he knows he has four shots he just won on live which okay good bad or whatever I think he plays better than kka I think I’m sorry I think kka beats Sheffer head-to-head that’s where my money’s going and I actually think he has a better opportunity to win than sheffler but who knows other people are going to have other thoughts I I’m in all I’m all in on kep on this oneck I mean if you if you had to go in a different direction I guess um but I mean he he’s human it looked for a while there he’s going to win all the Majors you know like 20 2017 to 2019 you felt like he was going to win them all one since just one and I know like you can’t you can’t just ah it’s just one major but inj a lot of guys have won one major since or you know a handful anyway since then so he’s not unique in that regard he watch out Sher to lose you let us know people who do you think are you going team Tony or team Chris on this one let us know what you think post your comments it’s going to stay spicy people until next week we out [Music]

  1. Guys every time I go to a fitting I'm told stay away from the low spin heads and I never get to hit them as I'm put off by the fitter 🫣🫣 I spin it way too much going to have to start asking to hit these, just wish it was before I just bought ai smoke max 🫣🀣🀣

  2. these guys talk so slow, you are better off listening in 1.5x or 2x speed and it will sound almost normal.

  3. Tony's and Chris' comments about LIV fading away into nothing in the future (due to talent pool going dry) is definitely a possibility. But i think their disdain of LIV and love of the "old standard" of the PGAT is closing his mind off from the other possibility – that the LIV purses get so large, that golfers start gravitating towards their brand and away from the PGA tour. It's happened before, it can happen again (remember, once upon a time the British Amateur and the US Amateur were once considered "majors"). Things change, and whoever has the most money is going to attract the best talent. Throw in the fact that it's a limited schedule and guaranteed money because there's no cut, if LIV survives a few more years, it could dominate. The true death knell of the PGAT monopoly is going to be when LIV gets a major broadcaster on board. Not saying it'll happen, but not including any "what ifs" that are pro-LIV just reveals the discussion bias.

  4. The big question is can the pga tour stay relevant, it’s not looking good all they have is Scottie and Rory.

  5. I am disappointed that Gooch douche was invited to the PGA, I want to see gooch miss the cut and miss it badly!
