The PGA TOUR returns to Texas this week for THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch, where Jason Day will attempt to defend his title. He claimed victory here in 2010, as well as 2023, and has three top-10s so far this season. The Australian most recently finished T18 at the RBC Heritage. Jordan Spieth will also be in the field, where he’ll be competing on the 14th anniversary of his PGA TOUR debut this week. The American claimed a T9 (2021) and solo second (2022) at TPC Craig Ranch in previous years. Spieth will return to his home state of Texas this week with confidence after finishing T10 at the Valero Texas Open earlier this month. The native Texan will attempt to break a long-standing curse, as no Texan has won this event since Scott Verplank in 2007. Others to look out for this week are Min Woo Lee, Tom Kim, Adam Scott and Jake Knapp

as we take a look at some of his highlights starting on the first hole with his second shot has been driving the ball beautifully all day hitting every Fairway lots of fine iron shots like this right at it what a shot here at the first got off to a great start yesterday went out in six under 30 for the opening nine holes now calls for his birdie did he yes okay maybe that takes the lid off of It see1 Go in from long range his first birdie of the day and as I mentioned earlier not an easy hole to birdie that was a very good too cool look here from behind the hole this club has not been very kind to Ben so far this year but this is Aaron Ry for birdie had a chance to win in Houston earlier this year a couple of late birdies and a good run and ended up finishing couple of shots back tied for seventh that was impressive this is the short Par Four the second shot for Matt Wallace I like driving up here as far as you can Tom that way you don’t have to worry about the spin on your second shot this room inside of 50 yards oh yeah that’s how you do it he what he needs he’s uh struggled a little bit in the early going as Matt Wallace here’s the second for noren not many can spin it more than this guy right here driving in low and oh take a peak yeah just dancing around the hole you could see what he was trying to do [Applause] there yes he’s gone on and grabbed the momentum here in the final round in this final group like we were talking about earlier Terry with what he learned from Puerto Rico a baby track man Tracer technology you see that carving it in there yeah going to catch the ridge that club is such a weapon for him when he won Mexico the long par fives he was able to reach all of them with that club when needed keep pace for Ben Co catching the ridge right now that’s traveling right in Eagle at the n one off the lead Aaron [Applause] Ry out in six under 30 playing his game that’s a really good line just needs to spin he should himself a chance for birdie get it to 20 underpar which yeah he did good run of holes for Kohls and he one back needs a lot of speed needs to get close to this ball to create some spin shot of the week but it could be a really good one oh exactly what he needed he’s going to remember this hole if he goes on to win later today just how he drew it up there Tom afternoon little out and in motion for the bunker Shop but you can just hear the strike of that sand really pops the back of the club in there perfect chasing his first pga2 win oh what a great shot from that distance for CO’s right at it he’s made some nice putts so far today there’s another one a new leader Ben Kohl’s looking for his first win on the PGA tour as we take you to the Fairway at nine the five here’s Alex noren who’s three under on his round so far today front right hole location if you catch that Ridge it might funnel down but it looks like it’ll stay up ample distance this will pick up a lot of speed coming down this hill there it goes looking good what a putt by norin another play we say he hasn’t won here in the US but he’s won 10 times he’s 40 years of age and you know he been playing the European tour forever he knows how to win as well tap in birdie for noren his fourth on his opening nine holes and he’s within two of the lead har for 12th and the second for Aaron Ry Mark imman really receptive R hole location in a punch ball this one needs to fade a touch to get there see it in every Fairway today and continuing to hit really nice iron shots like that yeah as I was saying yesterday C the guys do hit these chips like a putt they read it like a putt and he’s hit another great one beautiful stress fre four there good good catch there col go ahead and tap this in for the birdie and for the moment back at the top at 21 under par scratched his way up to 36 n needs a needs a bunch that little Miss back at three that’s also nine iron from 157 just left of it oh not by much hit the gas pedal at the right time someone’s going to have to win this I don’t think it’s going to be lost today yeah I think we got a good back nine ahead of us and up to 12 and the third for Wallace off the Green P it Wallace with a fist PP another look at this one which comes at the 12th for the week the 12 has played as the most difficult hole on the course and Wallace with some momentum yeah he’s only two back now 2009 he won the Canadian Junior long drive Championship 300 49 yard at the age of 18 well he is taking dead aim right at it a big time shot by [Applause] pendri pendrith buries it a birdie at the 12 his putting has really improved this year and the second shot for sh Kim into the par five just over 220 left good drive he shot a 64 on Friday and what a shot here that’s awesome that one left for Eagle there’s been two Eagles at 18 today sh Kim trying to make it three you bet you what a finish for sh Kim a 64 today and in the clubhouse at 20 under par and daddy the par three has only yielded four birdies all day we showed you this back left hole location been on taking aim well he’s birdied this hole the last two days how about this almost in the hole almost 221 how about it [Applause] that from 181 nice high draw all over it oh it is C it is really solidly struck at the center of the Green Oh solid indeed that’ll just keep finishes yeah little bit he’s going to have an eagle putt oh no that is just pressure that is just pressure Taylor pendri is a PGA Tour winner for the first time and the Canadians over the last three years have amassed quite a number of Victories and that’s a special one for Taylor pendri his first Victory on the tour out comes his wife Meg and his son Haz the disappointment for Ben Kohl’s who comes so close but for Taylor pendrith a career that has been what a feel so affected by injury he can all let it out now fantastic absolutely fantastic very special Family Day those pars he made at 16 and 17 and then the TAC birdie at 18 what a great finish thanks for 3. Great highlights I loved how we only saw the final putt and didn’t see the winner play any of the last holes 🤡

  4. Its always great to see someone get a career changing victory. A brutal finish for Kohles but still a really important week for him.

Pendrith moves up to 34 in Fedex Cup Sandings and Kohles up to 67.

  5. Taylor Pendrith's victory at The CJ Cup Byron Nelson is a testament to his skill, dedication, and perseverance. Congratulations on the W.
