Golf sensation Jon Rahm, the 2023 Masters champion, made headlines this past week with his return to Augusta National after defecting to LIV Golf in the winter. After a DISASTROUS Masters performance john Rham looked tepid, bitter and uninspired Jon Rahm played The Masters like a man who knows he has made a horrible mistake

Rahm’s comeback, however, was met with a mix of anticipation and controversy. Speaking to Golf Channel Latin America, Rahm revealed the varying receptions he received, saying, “Some did [welcome me]. I expected it. And then, there was someone else who I expected to be a little tougher… and one of them hugged me.”

On the course, Rahm faced a challenging tournament, finishing tied for 45th with a disappointing nine-over par, his worst showing at Augusta National.

  1. Why does everything have to come down to it’s something to do with LIV.

Yeah Rahm didn’t have a great masters. But neither did a lot of players. Speith, Thomas, Clark, Hovland and Mcilroy.

Sometimes you just don’t have it that week.

  2. I am sure he knew what LIV was to be like, with being in Phil's inner circle. He does not seem Happy, for sure. Rahm was not a Rich kid, so the $$$ had to be Tempting, so he bolted.

  3. I absolutely agree with you. I really do think he is regretting his decision to leave and join the Liv group

  4. LIV has nothing to do with it, he had a bad round, Cam Smith and Bryson had a fairly good round and they both play on LIV. He’s plays well at LIV and the competition on LIV is there, he hasn’t won yet.

  5. So since he wasn’t one of the very few players to ever defend their Mastes title it’s because of LIV? What about every other player who failed to defend their Masters title?

  6. I kind of thought the same way, Alex; but on the other hand, Bryson and Cam Smith were not ridiculous though. Golf "Experts" will definitely pay attention to Rahm's performance in the next majors, you're right…

  7. I was there for the Monday practice round. Of course Tiger had the biggest crowd because we all want to see tiger. But the second largest group was Phil, Bubba and Niemann. I followed Bryson for a little while and he had a good size following too. I don’t remember seeing JR on Monday so I can’t speak to his crowd size

  8. LIV has very little or nothing to do with John and his rounds at the Masters. LIV has nothing to do with how anyone plays. The 2 tours will join together after Pinehurst in some form. LIV is not going anywhere. Stay tuned.

  9. So is Hovland playing shite because he wished he'd joined LIV….what a load of nonsense….Rahm had a bad week….it happens….Hatton had a good week…..but melted down on LIV last week…..
    Means nothing absolutely nothing
