Bey strong get up get up very nice they feel really good super easy to hit they sound very solid there’s honestly a couple in there that would you know my reaction is that has no business being on a green but like an iron that we both play with that

Tungsten it really does help and again being this being a CB and being as forgiving as it is there’s a high level of handicaps that could that could use these irons all right guys welcome back to the channel so today we have a brand new iron to review Michael yeah the BET

And arst CB 24s a little couple photos online uh on tour um when they have their tour bags for their Putters they had a set of these kicking about um so far they look they look really good five years in the uh in the making for a company obviously more renowned for

Putters and in recent years wedges also um getting a lot of a lot of praise for for that wedge uh that may have been part the inspiration it’s probably was always part of the agenda at some point with their background and sort of metals and materials and and sort of processes

In manufacturing Mikey but um when I heard that there was an iron coming I suppose I was still a bit surprised yeah uh in a good way you know obviously core competency with the short game to expand into an iron and be committed to that

That’s a lot of R&D money that’s a lot of resources that then you know we know what goes into making the irons that they do um so for a smaller company like betard who specializ in short game tools get the AR game I thought fair play yeah I know

There’s uh you know they got a lot of tour Pros that use their Putters they posted a video with Freddy Couples he was testing the irons I mean to hear his Praises I know he’s close with the betard family he’s used one for a while

But I mean obviously to watch him hit he doesn’t really miss the center he was giving it high praises um there is a blade but we’re reviewing the CB today CB twice Force yeah the the blade from what I’ve seen in the pictures is not

It’s not going to be one that’s going to intimidate people you know immensely uh and I think with the shaping when you guys see them uh when we obviously put up the images of uh of the irons I mean you’ll see there’s they’re built for the majority of golfers totally I

Think sometimes when these types of irons come out they can maybe be too small and too much of a player’s product and really be quite niche in the market but when you look at the offset profile the Top Line profile these are designed for any golfer to gravitate towards the

Irons yeah for a one piece forged iron um and like you said the photos will overlay you’ll see there’s definitely a little bit more forgiveness this I think it widens the market of who could who could put these in the bag and for their following of you know putter collectors

And stuff like that I’m sure a bunch of them would throw a set of irons in the bag yeah definitely give them a try I mean for again a company that’s renowned for the materials they use uh and the feel of their products I mean with these

No expense has been spared uh when it comes to these irons from a machining standpoint from a material sourcing standpoint so yeah they use three materials they use obviously the 10.5 carbon they use the ceramic and they use the uh the tungsten positioned H very specifically for each iron y the ceramic

Is the interesting one obviously tungsten for higher Moi to you know make the head more stable um the the CMC this ceramic Matrix composite that they have is uh is is quite interesting totally different most companies not using that type of material no there’s uh there’s a

Couple there’s one other brand that I know of that’s used ceramic in the past but haven’t really you know followed through with it so to see it to see it come back or to see it in a different brand or other brands starting to use it is is definitely a cool concept yeah

With the okay let’s uh let’s get some testing we’ve got set built specifically with your specs here your shaft modus tour 120 um we’re going to do the four seven and wedge mik cool okay all right Magic Mike Let’s uh let’s get a few Impressions yeah um I mean add a dress

Behind the ball definitely a little bit thicker Top Line not massive but definitely has some some confidence behind it the first couple swings made like it it does have some offset to it yeah um for a CB iron which again that’s obviously you know going to help build

That confidence little thicker Top Line but really clean sole um little bit offset um I mean it’s a great looking iron like I love the look of them um but yeah just to start off a little bit of offset on the pitching wedge okay that’s skinny oops that sounded nice I’m not saying

This cuz I use a b and already putter but I I do love the feel of these irons they feel super soft easy to hit I there’s a couple wedge shots in there that don’t belong on a green that are okay give me a couple more that is no business going that

Far Beauty strong get up get up very nice they feel really good super easy to hit this they sound very solid yeah I mean for there’s honestly a couple in there that would you know my reaction is it has no business being on a green but like an iron that we both

Play with that tungsten it really does help and again being this being a CB and being as forgiving as it is I mean there’s a high level of handicaps that could that could use these irons yeah I agreed I think the unsung hero of this iron and I’ll be curious

To get your reaction to what it feels like is going to be that so I think if if we look at how thin that sole is you know when it gets down into the sort of mid and and short uh or even the longer the for there’s just there is a lot of

Mass down there but it’s uh in weight but not in so sometimes when manufacturers obviously tungsten’s expensive high density Tung is very expensive to to put in there um so they would rather use a a larger so M of the cheaper material than than go into the expensive stuff betard and have have

Really went all out on on the materials on this they have not skimmed on these whatsoever no which probably why it took five years right they’re not just going to push something out to get it to the market all right into 7even Michael yeah again interesting like they’re still

Offset but it’s starting to look less and less from wedge to seven iron that sort of dress position visual that I get from behind here is really really nice I mean you know obviously very very signature bonardi with uh with the honeycomb and and the sort of the the little B logo

That uh they’re renowned for yeah looks super premium feel like I said it feels really good sounded really good these iron video those are tough you know confusing leaving you feel I could have 15 sets of irons this year I mean that was I wasn’t struck the best was that

Not last not didn’t feel at your best it felt a little skinny but I mean it I thought the I thought the first one didn’t sound yeah the first one was skinny too but look at them both are the exact same identical yeah that’s cool lots lots of forgiveness packed in

That’s a fra that’s a little toe it’s just the same uh it’s the same as those other ones though I know identical absolutely identical I can miss it a bunch like that on the golf course sign me up they feel really good they sound good one

More what’s the Loft on the seven iron 20 sorry 33 that like low heel pretty good nice still go there to your 170 number very good Mikey B no you keep using the same word like solid just they sound really really solid so good really impressive they talk a lot about this Loft

Dependent Center gravity Mikey this is this is where I’m interested I know that and we all know if we watch Mikey do these tests this is where you do start to sort of notice a difference totally when we put uh the compare page up here

And we we look at the apex of the wedge and the seven and we see obviously it’s very similar that’s what Loft dependent Center gravity uh is going to achieve for someone the ability to maintain Peak Heights obviously land angle make sure we have the right balance in Flight

Obviously great dispersion in these for you um but when it comes to a four IR which you don’t carry don’t even carry a five IR currently this is where it’ll be uh yeah differ maker looking at this soul is definitely intimidating and for right now for kind

Of how like steep I am I’m hopefully I can get this Airborne okay Mikey boy let’s see what you’ve got in the locker with a four iron yeah good luck now the confidence level has gone down a bit with this yeah see you great ball solid Mikey yeah got away with it

Doesn’t feel you got it no little heel save okay almost yeah okay okay oh D it done well didn’t it yeah still flow flow 193 or something like again I can hear it’s in the heel side and again for a low strike like obviously I pulled it but it came back that’s

Nice might be done who’s this guy it’s got to be higher oh it’s way higher that was striped it’s got to be like 85 fetish come on 90 love that plenty of launch in that keys of Dees okay um nice performance MH yeah I really uh

Like them there was a little change with the forarm that we may made a little bit more upright for myself yeah um and moov some ball position but definitely definitely helped you know we know that you’re always going to fight fac the path so you know they were at standard

And then we made it a couple degrees upright which is is uh nice for you I really like the feel of them they I mean they perform on that that Miss hit like I said we play Cur iron that does very similar to where that tungsten’s kind of

Placed and you can miss it and get away with it the fore iron is definitely less offset thinner top not thinner Top Line but smaller Footprints definitely less confident than the rest but they’re a heck of an iron mhm yeah you I I feel like like I don’t know when you hear so

Many different clubs been hit in the bay and the the chase for ball speed nowadays the sound can sort of be sacrificed for how thin these are these faces get when you hit them I thought the sound s sounded Rich to me like rich in terms of like deep in terms of like

The the the material and where you’re striking in the face like it it sounded very pure yeah yeah it felt um I don’t know this is a term but like pillowy like when you Struck it it didn’t even feel like you did anything the ball just

Kind of took off so yeah impressed for sure yeah and I think test to the work done to position the center gravity with these IRS and you know guys it probably sounds like sort of you know techy talk that that were you talk about CG location and these

Three materials the the ceramic the tungsten in the carbon steel but it it really does it really does make a difference when you start to position things um very specifically for that type of iron because you don’t want the same center of gravity in a wedge as you

Want a four iron as you want a seven iron like these are three very different irons and for the type of performance we’re looking for for said Iron totally we need it in a different different place said if it’s taken them five years there’s a reason it’s taking them five

Years they’ve got the materials right it looks clean feels great performs I think one uh I love this picture here this this sort of comparison page because when we look at the three Peak Heights we’re sort of in the they were in the mid 80s when it comes to the um the

Wedge in the 7even hour in terms of peak height and then we dropped to about a just a few feet yeah yeah but it’s very similar yeah but I mean in the data collection that last one we’re able to get it up to 90 ft which is you know for

Me in a 4 iron is obviously amazing nice I don’t use a 4 right now but I mean if I had to use a 4 iron it was pretty good yeah you know you’ve got half a chance at least with that one totally because

You want to get back to using a five I do want to get back to using a five yeah I don’t know why because hybrid I have is quite good but just round out the set yeah really impressive I like these I yeah I really really like them available

For sale right now they are now released they are now released and I don’t think you’ll see them Here There and Everywhere I don’t think there’ll be in every Big Box store I do think you’re going to have to seek these out guys you’re going to have to try and find an

Authorized betard dealer somebody who’s been trusted to fit them correctly um that’s a big part of the story with these um so kudos to the guys yeah well done Kudos really and hopefully we got our hands in the blades at some point and uh test those but well CB 24s might

Disappear they might disappear who knows well I’d love to see in the golf course and see how they perform in the course cuz as I said I think the secret weapon we speak a lot about the position of weight but we I also really want to see how they perform through the

Turf yeah I think that soul is a little secret weapon to this iron so uh I want to I want to sort of see you know you or someone hit those and see how those uh play out for sure great stuff okay guys let us know um is this something you’re

Interested in are you a betard fan are you you know I know people kind of collect Putters and and you know wedges and things like that so um will that make you go out and seek out the irons I’d be uh very curious to hear your thoughts on these more expensive price

Tag we know that but you’re going to get what you pay for right it’s been you know that that quality has been engineered into the product for you guys to get it back out in performance so if you’ve tried them if you’ve been lucky enough to try in the seating sort of

Program let us know I’d love to hear if anyone’s tried them so far definitely good all right stay tuned for more we’ll see you again Soon

  1. If I had to get new irons, I would go with the Pings or these. They look so good and will age well.

  2. I want to hear about the comparison of these CBs to the Haywood CBs. The lofts are very similar and I would like to know if it's worth the change or if they're very similar being CBs (or the CB/MB combo.)

  3. Mikey, you’re just a little bit over the top good sir. You probably alrighty know and that’s what you’re going for, but I just wanted to point it out. Thanks for all the reviews, it’s very helpful and informative.

  4. Beautiful design. And their putters are obviously great. If I hadn't just put p790s in the bag, I might be interested.

  5. price point was surprisingly reasonable for the bettinardi name. i’ve tried their wedges and was impressed by how good they feel.

  6. Not liking the gapping from 7 to 4. Just 24 yds carry for 4 clubs is not good. I’m guessing it’s mostly Mikey’s clubhead speed and aoa but would definitely suggest trying the 5 & 6 if someone is getting a fitting.

I would put these against the Miura KM700, Mizuno 243 and maybe Titleist T150, though the latter is definitely very stronger lofted.

It’s interesting how more club manufacturers are doing multi-material designs where base is a quality forging. Used to be the multi material designs were all around cheap cast forms, then use engineered material designs to manipulate both performance and feel. Starting with a much improved base design is welcome development in industry

  7. What’s the lowest swing weight you can get these too? Where are they forged at?
Good vid. Nice to see them jump in the market.

  8. Matthew Fitzpatrick finally upgraded his Ping irons after 10 years. If he can use the same irons for a decade then you sure as heck can too.

  9. I’m going to be looking for a new set of irons in 2024. I’m trying to determine where the CB24’s are competing. With the T150/P770 group or the T200/P790 group? Or both?

  10. Nice to hear that they didn’t make them super strong by today’s standards. Interesting clubs. Would definitely try some on a monitor if I ever see them in my local stores.

  11. You get what you pay for. Can’t afford them? Don’t be jealous when you see them in your mates bag and start slagging them off!

  12. "The clubs we currently play" which has similar tungsten but otherwise a state secret? You seemed pretty deliberate in not naming them!

  13. My ears did perk up when you said narrow soles. I’m a unicorn that typically ends up in blades because I need a narrow sole.

  14. Great video as always, can you guys review the Vega Mizar Pro irons? I purchased a set with Axiom shafts. Super super soft.

  15. $1600 USD or $228 per club. Complete set only available 4i through PW. You can buy individual clubs, 6i through PW would run $1140 USD.
    LOL
At those prices they had better be better than unicorn fart powered space ships. These clubs should be fitted to ensure that you get the spec that you need.

33 degree loft 7i, standard length 37", so not super strongly lofted.

  16. I would love to try out a combo set of these. Some of the best looking irons I've seen in ages. Would get very well with my wedges as well 😁
